In a brilliant finale to the 2015 Season,Willoughby Symphony presents Last Night of the Proms, compered and conducted by the astonishing Dr Nicholas Milton.
Enjoy a selection of beloved symphonic and choral masterworksperformed in their full orchestral resplendence. And in 2015, our thrilling excursion knows no bounds – we’ll visit Hungary, France, Mexico, and even journey with you back in time to the splendour of ancient Rome. You’ll sing along with our chorus in a magnificent expedition into the heartland of our shared musical traditions – emotive music of unbridled passion in triumphant strains that will have your spine tingling and your heart racing.
And, for our season-ending climax, hear Tchaikovsky’s1812 Overtureas you have never heard it before – with the expanded Willoughby Symphony Orchestra joined by the Willoughby City Band in a rendition that will blow the roof off The Concourse’s amazing Concert Hall.
